JUST A LITTLE FIDDLE..........BY DENNIS ROOKARD Ever since that long gone golden age of railways - whenever that was - Stations have needed porters. That special bread of men who during those long periods between trains can find endless tasks to perform along the platforms. Yet can, with the apprarance of a train and its passengers - vanish. Only reappearing if the smell of a large tip is in the air. Burt Pride is just one such a man, but Burt, a long time servant of the railway, knows that every job has its little fiddles, and is not above making them work to his advantage.STEREO RECORDING........TIME = 29 min 50 secs

SHE'LL HAVE TO GO ....... BY DENNIS ROOKARD They were a happy gang. All long term unemployed and because of their age, all very unlikely to find another job. Wasn't their fault that a succession of Governments wanting to hide the true state of the Nations unemployed had hidden the true figure by inventing ways of massaging them off the lists and into early retirement. And how nice that Petra down at the job centre had found all those extra benifits they could claim. The only snag was that someone was out to get them back to work and that was a situation not in their collective game plan. And that someone would have to go.STEREO RECORDING.....
